Down Time!

Well, after a fabulous day on the water we needed a day to sit back and chill!  Yesterday was such a great day traveling by speed boat around the island of Antigua!  The highlight of the day was definitely the Sting Ray Farm.  This was such a cool experience and the whole family enjoyed it.
Dad got to hold the sting ray while the girls surrounded him for support.  I'm not sure, but I think they we hoping to be able to cash in on the insurance policies!  Lol. We had such a great time but really needed a day to relax.   After a trip to the gym, we met the girls for breakfast and then headed to the pool.  A fantastic day of relaxing, a few drinks, enjoying the sun, the pool and the family.  It was such a nice day.  Tonight we are heading to then Managers Pools and then on to dinner!  This is such a great place and the people are so friendly!  Just wish we had done this years ago!

Swimming with the Sting Ray's

So today was our big tour day!  We booked a awesome extreme sport boat trip around the island, which included a stop at Sting Ray Island to swim with the Sting Rays!  Danelle has been so looking forward to this one.  We left early this morning along with another family from Dallas, TX and a couple newly wed from Willingboro, NJ!  Wow!  The cab ride to the beach was uneventful except for the conversation in the cab.  Once there we loaded the boat!
The trip out was beautiful.  The views were fantastic and the captain and mates were so nice!  Once out at the Sting Ray we were in the water and swimming with the Sting Rays.  Dawn and Lynn were a little apprehensive but before long all of us were in the water and surrounded by Sting Rays.  It was fantastic!  What a day!  We traveled completely around the Island, stopping at Green Island for lunch and Rendezvous Bay for beach and punch and then back to the launch site!  We even did some snorkeling at English Harbour.  It was just a fantastic day!
This was simply a wonderful family experience was some really fun people!  Now we are all exhausted and ready to hit the sheets.  But the memories of this day will last a life time!  Tune in tomorrow for more!
